LOAS Selected for 'KPAS 2025'... Recognized for AI Acoustic Diagnostic Technology

LOAS, a company specializing in AI-based acoustic inspection systems, has been selected for the “Korea Promising AI Startup 2025 (KPAS 2025),” once again demonstrating its technological competitiveness and growth potential.

On the 16th, LOAS was named one of the top 20 promising AI startups in Korea during the KPAS 2025 awards ceremony held at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Selected companies receive benefits from KT Corporation, including technology collaboration opportunities, commercialization consulting, and investment support.

KPAS 2025 is a project aimed at discovering promising AI companies and serves as the successor to the “Korea AI Startup 100” program, which began in 2021. Since last year, the initiative has been rebranded as “KPAS” to more intensively foster future AI unicorn companies, selecting only 20 companies annually to provide strengthened practical collaboration and support.

This year, KPAS adopted even more rigorous and professional evaluation standards than before. A panel composed of venture capitalists, academic experts, and industry specialists comprehensively assessed companies based on technological capability, commercialization potential, and global market competitiveness.

LOAS has developed proprietary AI acoustic diagnostic technology and is introducing both production-line quality inspection solutions and industrial facility acoustic diagnostic solutions. Its production-line quality inspection solution, “SMART,” detects abnormal sounds generated by products moving along manufacturing lines to determine defects. Furthermore, the system can analyze the severity of defects, effectively improving both product quality management and manufacturing productivity. Since 2023, LOAS has supplied SMART to the home appliance division of LG Electronics, supporting the automation of quality inspection processes.

LOAS’s industrial facility diagnostic solutions, “Tfoi” and “Tfos,” take the form of autonomous robots and drones respectively, enabling the inspection of abnormal noise, electrical leakage, and leaks in industrial facilities without limitations of time or space. These solutions help predict equipment replacement timing, thereby preventing industrial accidents, and are gaining attention across industries pursuing smart factory and dark factory transformation.

In particular, “Tfoi” successfully completed a demonstration project with Korea Western Power last year, proving a cost reduction effect of KRW 2.6 billion through the early detection of LNG micro leaks. The successful deployment of Tfoi was also selected as an outstanding win-win cooperation case under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ “WIN-WIN HONORS” program.
